One of the most popular ways of getting speeding tickets in the UK is by the use of speed cameras. With speed cameras, a policeman can tell if you have been speeding or not, and this is one of the biggest concerns to speeding motorists. There are many different locations of speed cameras, and these locations are often based on the type of camera.

The Truvelo is another type of speed camera that is found in the UK. This is one that isn’t found as often, perhaps 2 out of every 10 cameras. It is a forward facing camera, which can take pictures from the front, and also get the driver shown in a photograph, which means that the driver can’t claim they weren’t driving. The Truvelo works with sensors in the road that capture the driver and the car without a flash. However, if you are driving a motorbike that does not have a front registration, this camera can not capture your speed. 

 

Digital Specs is another type of speed camera. This is a GPS speed camera service and is almost impossible to detect, other than simply seeing it. This is a camera that is found in different locations all throughout the UK, and works in a different way. The camera times your driving between two locations, and if you are found to have driven too quickly, meaning that it took you less time to get from one point to another than it should have, you can be held responsible for speeding and get a ticket. These are found in many different locations. 

 

DS2 is another type of speed camera that is found in the UK. You can protect yourself from them using the Road Angel or another type of device. This is another way of looking at your speed, using rubber strips in the road that monitor how fast you are going from one point to another. 

 

Most of the other types of speed cameras that are found in the UK are now considered to be lasers or speed guns.  These are considered to be the more conventional types of speed cameras. They are used in mobile units and used by the police to determine what speed you are traveling at and how quickly you are going, in order to get a ticket to those that are traveling too quickly. 

 

There are many different locations for the various speed cameras to be placed. Most of the time, they are found on the motorways, because this is where the majority of the speeding takes place. For many people, it then becomes important to find the locations of the speed cameras so that they can avoid going too quickly in those areas. However, with so many mobile devices, it is also important to think that many of the vans and automobiles that you see might also contain speed cameras, and if that is the case, you are not going to be able to avoid them for very long.
